This University of St Andrews Impact & Innovation Fund project examines the environmental cost of digital activity in museums. We seek to:
- understand perceptions of the consequences of the use of current digital technologies, and adoption of new digital technologies in museums and cultural institutions
- assess current strategies in reducing the carbon-cost of digital technologies in museums and cultural institutions
- gather insights into best practice across the cultural sector
- foster the building of networks to share best practice and strategies
- facilitate and co-create resources
- inform policy making through advocacy work
